Changing OLE links (Windows)
You can cancel an OLE object link, change the path to a linked OLE source file, or change whether an OLE link is updated automatically or manually.
  •
In Browse mode, if the selected container field is a local link, or if no field is selected, the Links dialog displays all the local links in the record. If the selected field is a related field, the Links dialog displays all links in the related file that are in the current record and any other linked objects in the related file that are visible, and displays no local links.
  •
In Layout mode, all links in the current layout are displayed.
Canceled links are converted to pictures. When FileMaker Pro can't find a link, the Links dialog displays Unavailable in the Update column.
To change OLE links:
1.
Choose Edit menu > Object > Links.
2.
3.

Click Break Link. FileMaker Pro converts the linked OLE object to a picture in your database. You can't then activate the picture.
Click Change Source, then enter the new path and click OK.
Select Manual or Automatic.
Click Update Now.
Click Open Source.
