Showing OLE objects (Windows)
You can display OLE objects in container fields and on layouts in your database. For example, show OLE objects to see which fields hold OLE objects, where OLE objects are on a layout, or whether objects are embedded or linked.
To show OLE objects:

In Browse mode or Layout mode, choose Edit menu > Object > Show Objects.
A checkmark displays next to the command when the option is turned on.
When Show Objects is turned on:
  •
embedded OLE objects display a solid black border
  •
linked OLE objects display a dashed border (the border is dimmed if a link is inaccessible)
Note  Object borders don't print.
