Connecting Your Device to the Same Wi-Fi Network as Your Computer
Bento for Mac can sync with Bento for iPhone or Bento for iPad when both the desktop and device applications are open and connected to the same Wi-Fi network, including a computer-to-computer (ad hoc) network. See Mac Help for information about networks.
To connect your device to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer:

On your device, click the Home button, then tap Settings, tap Wi-Fi, then select a Wi-Fi network.

On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences > Network.

In the left side of the Network pane, click AirPort (Mac OS X 10.6) or Wi-Fi (OS X Lion 10.7).

For Network Name, select the same Wi-Fi network that you connected your device to.

Click Turn Airport On (Mac OS X 10.6) or Wi-Fi On (OS X Lion 10.7).

Click Apply, then close the Network pane.
