Auto Start settings
The General Settings > Auto Start tab lets you automatically start the
Database Server when the system restarts. You can also automatically start the
Web Publishing Engine when the system restarts.
To specify Auto Start settings:
1. Click the General Settings > Auto Start tab.
2. Set the Auto Start options:
To | Do this |
Automatically start the Database Server component on the master machine when the computer restarts | Select Automatically start Database Server. |
Automatically start the Web Publishing Engine when the computer restarts | Select Automatically start Web Publishing Engine. Note This option is available only when Automatically start Database Server is selected. |
3. Click Save.
Notes
• You can start or stop the Database Server or the Web Publishing Engine without restarting the machine. You can start or stop these components from the Status pane. The Status pane shows if they are functioning normally. See

• You can manually start the Database Server and Web Publishing Engine if you don't enable the Auto Start options. When the machine restarts, you can start Admin Console, then start the Database Server, the Web Publishing Engine, or both. See
