Defining scripts for OLE links (Windows)

You can define a FileMaker script that works with OLE objects. FileMaker Pro ignores these script steps if you perform the script on a computer running the Mac OS.

Use this script step

Activate an OLE object in a container field

Go to Field, and select the Select/perform option. For more information, see Go to Field script step.

Embed or link an OLE object in a container field

Insert Object. For more information, see Insert Object (Windows) script step.

Paste an OLE object from the Clipboard

Paste, and select the Link if available option to paste a link. For more information, see Paste script step.

Update links

Update Link. For more information, see Update Link (Windows) script step
