Pausing and resuming hosted files

You can temporarily stop access to one or more open databases that display Open status. Connected clients can read data from the database while it is paused, but cannot modify the database until hosting is resumed. For example, you can pause a database, then safely use the operating system to make a copy of the file.

To pause a single database:

1. Click the Databases page.

2. Select an Open (Open status icon) database.

3. Click Down-arrow menu button and choose Pause.

To pause all databases:

1. Click the Databases page.

2. For All Databases, click Down-arrow menu button and choose Pause All.

To resume a single database:

1. Click the Databases page.

2. Select a Paused (Paused status icon) database.

3. Click Down-arrow menu button and choose Resume.

To resume all databases:

1. Click the Databases page.

2. For All Databases, click Down-arrow menu button and choose Resume All.
