New features in FileMaker Server 16
General enhancements
FileMaker WebDirect worker machines: A FileMaker Server can consist of a single master machine and up to five FileMaker WebDirect worker machines. Each worker machine can support up to one hundred FileMaker WebDirect clients.
To install and configure a FileMaker WebDirect worker machine, see FileMaker Server Installation and Configuration Guide.
To start, stop, or remove a FileMaker WebDirect worker machine, see Web Publishing Engine information.
FileMaker Data API support: FileMaker Server allows web services to use the FileMaker Data API to access data in hosted solutions.
To configure FileMaker Data API access, see FileMaker Data API settings.
To create web services that use the FileMaker Data API, see FileMaker Data API Guide.
To start or stop the FileMaker Data API Engine, see Starting or stopping FileMaker Server components.
OAuth support: FileMaker Server can be configured to allow FileMaker clients to authenticate via an OAuth identity provider to get access to a hosted solution. To configure FileMaker Server for OAuth authorization, see Using an OAuth identity provider to authenticate FileMaker clients.
PDF and print support: FileMaker WebDirect solutions can now use the Print, Print Setup and Save Records as PDF script steps. FileMaker Script Engine now supports the Print Setup and Save Records as PDF script steps for all hosted solutions. See FileMaker Pro Help.
Changes to the Admin Console user interface
