Transfer Files

When you transfer a file to your iOS device, you are creating a copy of the remote file. When you make data changes to the local file, the remote file is not updated. You must use FileMaker Pro to import and update data. See FileMaker Go Development Guide.

Transfer files using one of the sharing options

  1. If you are working in a file, tap Actions menu icon, then tap Launch Center Launch Center icon.
  2. Tap Device Device icon, then tap Edit file list icon.
  3. Tap the file to transfer, then tap Share icon.
  4. Choose an option for transferring the file. See Choose a Sharing Option.

Transfer files using iTunes

  1. Connect your device to your computer.
  2. In iTunes, select your device, then click Apps.
  3. In the File Sharing section, select FileMaker Go from the Apps list.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • To transfer files to your iOS device, drag the files from your computer to the FileMaker Go Documents pane.
    • To transfer files from your iOS device to your computer, drag the files from the FileMaker Go Documents pane to your computer.
