Troubleshooting
Note  The following information is for server administrators.
If you have a question or an issue, these steps can help you find a solution.
1. Make sure your system meets the requirements. See FileMaker Server technical specifications.
2. Install the latest FileMaker Server update. See Checking for updates.
3. Check the documentation and release notes on the FileMaker website.
4. Problems with FileMaker Server typically occur in the following areas. See these help topics:

5. You can search for answers in the Knowledge Base at http://help.filemaker.com.
6. Post a question on the FileMaker Community.
Notes
If FileMaker Pro is already running while the Database Server is starting up on the same machine, the Database Server will start up but then stop. Stop FileMaker Pro, then start the Database Server. If this problem persists, restart your computer, then start the Database Server before starting FileMaker Pro.
