Manage Favorites dialog box

Use this dialog box to add, edit, or remove favorite local or remote files; add, edit, or remove remote hosts; manage remote hosts; and rearrange the order of favorites.

 

To	Do this
Add a favorite local file	Click , then select one or more files in the list. Click Select, then close the Manage Favorites dialog box.
Add a favorite remote file	Click , then click Remote. Select or add the host on which the file resides, select the remote file, then click Add to Favorites. Click Close, then click Cancel in the Add a Favorite dialog box . Tip  When you double-click a collapsed host name or IP address, the list of remote files is refreshed.
Change the order of favorite files	Drag a filename to a new location in the list.
Open a file	Double-click the filename in the list.
Add a favorite remote host	Click , then click Remote. For View, choose Favorite Hosts. Click Add. For Host’s Internet Address, type a domain name (as host.domain.com) or IP address. Enter a name for the host if you want, then click Save. Click Close, then click Cancel in the Add a Favorite dialog box.
Remove a file or host from the favorites list	Select a file or host name and click .
Change the remote host settings	Select a host, click , and choose Edit Host. For information about changing the settings for the remote host, see Opening shared files as a client.
Update the list of expanded hosts	Click and choose Refresh Expanded Hosts.
