You are Finished (New Layout/Report assistant)

Use this panel to determine how you want to view your new layout.

To finish and view your layout:

Note  Because viewing options vary based on the type of layout you created, some of the options listed below might not be available.

1.	Choose one of the following options:

•	View in Browse mode where you can display and edit records. Your layout appears in Table View or List View depending on the type of layout or report you created.

•	View in Preview mode to see how your labels or envelopes will look when printed.

•	View in Layout mode to further edit the design of your layout. For more information, see Creating and managing layouts and reports and Editing objects on layouts.

2.	Click Finish.

Notes and tips

•	Once you have finished the assistant, you can switch to any mode using commands on the View menu or the Mode pop-up menu. For example, you can switch to Preview mode to see how the layout will look when you print it.

•	If your report contains summary data and you change the sort order or unsort it, you must re-sort by break field to see summary data.

•	If you created an Envelope or Labels layout, note that FileMaker Pro displays data on these layouts using merge fields. You can’t enter or edit data using merge fields; create a data entry layout for that purpose.
