Paste, select, and replace values keyboard shortcuts (Windows)

You can use keyboard shortcuts to enter values into a field, replace values, select objects, and move items in a list.

 

To insert	Press	In mode
The current date	Ctrl+ - (hyphen)	Browse, Find, Layout
The current time	Ctrl+;	Browse, Find, Layout
The current time and date in a timestamp field	Ctrl+;	Browse, Find
The current user name	Ctrl+Shift+N	Browse, Find, Layout
Information from the index	Ctrl+I	Browse, Find
Information from the last visited record	Ctrl+' (apostrophe)	Browse, Find
Information from the last record and move to the next field	Ctrl+Shift+' (apostrophe)	Browse, Find
Merge fields	Ctrl+M	Layout

 

To paste	Press	In mode
Text from the Clipboard	Ctrl+V	Browse, Find, Layout
Text without styles	Ctrl+Shift+V	Browse, Layout

 

To	Press	In mode
Replace a field's value	Ctrl+ =	Browse
Select all fields	Ctrl+A	Layout
Select multiple objects	Shift+click, drag selection to include multiple objects Note  To select only the objects enclosed within the selection box, Ctrl+Shift.	Layout
Select objects of the same type when an object is selected	Ctrl+Shift+A	Layout
Select items in a list	Up Arrow, Down Arrow	All
Move a selected item in a list	Ctrl+Up Arrow, Ctrl+Down Arrow	All
