Copying, duplicating, and deleting charts
You can duplicate charts on a single layout or cut or copy and then paste charts on the same layout, on another layout, or into another database file.
To copy, duplicate, or delete a chart:
1.
In Layout mode, select the chart.
For more information, see Selecting objects.
2.

Copy (or cut) the chart, then paste it onto the same or another layout, or into another database file
Choose Edit menu > Copy (or Cut). Click with the arrow pointer where you want the object centered, then choose Edit menu > Paste Layout Object(s) (Windows) or Paste (Mac OS).
 •
Choose Edit menu > Duplicate.
 •
Or, press Ctrl (Windows) or Option (Mac OS) as you drag the chart.
Delete a chart without replacing what's on the Clipboard
 •
Choose Edit menu > Clear.
Notes
 •
A chart you cut or copy stays on the Clipboard until the next time you choose Cut or Copy (in FileMaker Pro or another application), restart, or turn off your computer.
 •
To restore a chart that you deleted, choose Edit menu > Undo Delete before you do anything else in FileMaker Pro.
 •
If you copy a chart in Browse or Find mode, then paste it into a layout, the copy of the chart is a bitmap image that will not update when data changes and which you cannot edit.
